Japanese Tea garden   -The charm of Japanese green tea
The greatest charm of green tea is enjoying its fresh, juicy taste and aroma. CHANOHA, we pick the new buds that sprout in spring, steam them, and make tea by leaving about 4-5% moisture in them to preserve their characteristics. We would like to leave more moisture in them, but if we did, the shelf life would be shorter, and fermentation would begin within a few hours, resulting in a taste similar to oolong tea. By drying them to about 4-5%, we have devised a way to enjoy their fresh charm for several months without refrigeration. Our best before dates are set at one week to one month for teas with a high moisture content (new tea sold for a limited time), and three months for teas sold throughout the year. This is the idea we have followed to convey the charm of green tea. Thank you for your understanding.
